Actually, it is very likely that Burkett set himself up for humiliation, given that he's got a king-sized axe to grind with Bush.

And calling the effort "amateurish" is a rather audacious thing to say now, given how many liberals were initially in denial over the forgeries. Perhaps that's an even better reason to believe the Rove conspiracy theory, because the alternative would be to admit being suckered by a liberal partisan running Microsoft Word.
