Nice post. Back in June I wrote (#reply-20201791):

"My optimistic guess is this will slow GDP growth to maybe 2.5% over the next 12. months. My pessimistic guess is that we will have a recession in early / mid 2005."

Since then (and after reading your posts) I'm leaning more towards my pessimistic view. Right now I don't see how Q3 GDP can be any better than Q2. And things appear to be getting worse.

Mish, IMHO, the grains are down because China is using up inventory until they can buy a load at a very cheap price. Then they will start soaring again.
