You condemn them to a totalitarian police state that represses even basic freedoms like to right to worship God, the right to speak your mind, the right to travel freely....etc.

Would you also have celebrated the defeat of the communist as it would have ended the killing? Or perhaps it would have been a cause for celebration had the communist not decided to attack the government in the south in the first place.
