re: You would be surprised at the level of freakiness of your newly found wing of the political spectrum. There are some people, in New York City, no less, who said that attacking a whole country (Afghanistan) for just a few thousands of dead Americans is inappropriate and disproportionate. I didn't give a damn about Afghanistan or the Taliban for that matter, except that they were on the way to getting bin Laden and the rest of al Qaeda. We should have done everything in our power to get those al Qaeda (short of nukes) swiftly and brutally. That would have made us significantly safer today, and would have sent a message. The message now is that you can get away with attacking the US, and survive. John
