Fleckenstein's theory is that whichever party has the misfortune to hold the White House during the next term won't have that privilege again for two decades, so the re-election of El Chimpo Stupido wouldn't be a total disaster. It took many years and a world war for Germany and Japan to appreciate the value of playing well with others, maybe another Chimp term will have the same effect on the United States.

you are right in that Americans may be too ignorant to know any better. They also may not be able to read anything but cue cards, like our leader. I love it when you libs talk dirty about your clients! A reasonable response to the 9/11 attacks, if you were incompetent enough to allow them to happen in the first place There goes Slick's rep (or whatever tatters may be left of it). The 1st WTC attack was on HIS watch. (We won't mention his total incompetence in stopping the OK City attack against a FEDERAL facility.) The terrorists, of course, support the incompetent for President, which is why they will hold off new attacks on the USA until after the election. And it was also why they held their attacks on US soil until we had a bumblef*** in The White House. You are, of course, prepared to prove both those statements, right? Not everyone who disagrees with me is a foaming at the mouth neocon. Thank you. I think. Maybe. Some decent folks are fooled by Bush's "aw, shucks," attitude and his misuse of the language. Ah, I LOVE your contempt for your social inferiors (assuming, of course, that any actually exist). they booze it up and party while poor people their age get shot at in Iraq. Whereas Eleanor (remember FDR?) was in the first wave at Omaha Beach, right? And others, especially here in Houston, like his unflagging support for big oil vs. the American people. Maybe you should have a talk with XBrit. He thinks you should not be an American citizen. (Texas WAS part of the Confederacy. Or di you know that?) We reelected Nixon after the Woodward/Bernstein series on Watergate was out. Well, yeah, it started here: washingtonpost.com But at the time of the election, it still wasn't proven what had happened and the extent of it. That came out over the next couple of YEARS.
