Because it infringes on Americans constitutional rights. Originally it was deemed only to apply to those scary "foreigners." But we all knew how long that would last before the FBI and others started applying it to normal American citizens, whose Rights should NOT be violated simply because Congress passed some Bill. They did NOT repeal the Amendments that the Patriot Act violates. So, the law IS in violation of the US Constitution regardless of what some judges say.

Patriot Act II is even worse. Bush and Ashcroft have done some stuff that if the Dems had a viable candidate I would entertain notions of changing my vote. But Kerry is a joke so I stay with Bush. At least I know that person and where he is willing to sacrifice my Rights. Kerry would take was has been taken and more.
