Kerry has run a decent campaign. Anyone running against Bush would have to fight the Bush Smear machine. It is disgusting. Bush would smear Mother Teresa if it helped him win.

Of course, if the campaign was solely on the issues, Kerry would win easily.

I gave my reasons for supporting Kerry. If you want to debate those issues, please first ackowledge "Bush is a failure".

I don't bother discussing Kerry with people that are either misinformed or can't be honest about Bush.

Iraq is a misdirected war on terror. Iraq was never associated with the Al Qaeda threat. Bush has acknowledged that when he told us all that the intelligence on which he acted was flawed. NOW LET US STOP JUST THERE and direct our attention to those famous words that came from Mr. Reagan. Trust but verify. Was it not Bush's responsibility to veryfy that report. He was committing US lives, there were lives of innocent Iraqis that were on the line with his decision. I and many other Americans say he should have verified and he and only he is solely responsible for not doing so.

Compare this to Desert Storm, led by Colin POwell whom this Bush brushed aside. Desert Storm was a well planned war. HAd a well defined stated objective, it was communicated to all the nations of the world, they came on board and the attack was launched. When General Schwarzkopff asked for permission to march onto Baghdad, Bush Sr. and Gen POwell said no. Why? Simple. Because it violated the stated objective.

This Iraq war has gone amok. He went in too early, he declared "Mission Accomplished" too early, he pulled out Paul Bremer too early, and now he is trying to hold elections prematurely. His haste reminds me of the UPS delivery man. Iraq is not ready for elections no matter what Bush tells the American people.

The violence in Iraq is escalating and now the common Iraqi, who initially welcomed US troops are backing those who are fighting the US troops in the streets of Iraq. Notice how the UK troops are not being attacked. Blair is not going around claiming victory, he is contrite and is engaged in Churchillean effort to sell to the British his decision to go to war.

Bush says You are with us or you are against us so one Billion Mulims immediately decide they are against us. Now, that's Diplomacy!
