I used to work with off duty police working security in a hotel I was an engineer in. According to them, they lied under oath all the time. By their logic, if the guy they busted didn't do what they'd busted him for, he'd done SOMETHING...

Politicians lie all the time. The average person tells 2.6 lies a day. I was disappointed in Clinton not because he lied and waved his finger at me, but because he thought he could get away with it. I thought he was smarter than that.

Bush is very cagy. His lies are subtle, but they are lies all the same. He never said Saddam was behind 9/11, but he used 9/11 and Saddam in the same sentence so often that at one point, 70% of America thought Saddam WAS behind 9/11, and 42% STILL DO. Bush has made no real effort to straighten them out.
