Yes it is insane, his comment that is. These weapons were not common before the law, and were not even banned by the law.

Maybe not in DC but they were in LA.


Not in DC, LA or anywere in the country.

Note that I didn't say these weapons were not banned anyware in the country I said they where not banned by the federal "assault weapons" law. That law only banned manufacture and imporation of the weapons it covered, not possestion or sale.

Its possible some CA law actually did ban them but I was talking about the federal law not state law.
