You seem to have neglected your explanation as to why you think Kerry changes his mind on important issues for political expediency. Do you just take the Bush campaign's word for it? Please provide the changes in Kerry view over the last 20 years that lead you to this conclusion.

As for Bush changing his mind on nation building (sounds like a bigger change of view on a very important subject to me...)

As you said, it wasn't about political expediency.

If its not worth doing, its not worth doing.

I think it is clear that Bush got in office and found himself developing a new understanding of the issue. I think it would be great if he admitted it. But he came to realize that "nation building" is, today, a part of war. We cannot go to a foreign country and conduct a war without taking on responsibility for the power vacuum that ensues.

Iraq isn't about war, is it? Its about liberating oppressed people, getting rid of horrible dictators, and spreading freedom throughout the world, correct? These are George's arguments. Its precisely the nation building he campaigned against, and flip flopped on for God knows what reason.

Saddam had just as many WMDs in 2000 when George was trying to get elected and against nation building than when George made the big push to invade. It wasn't worth the invasion then because George was against nation building. It was two yeras later because....... George changed his mind on a very significant issue. How do you explain George's flippity flop?

And WHY DOESN'T IT "BOTHER YOU A LOT", if it is such a supposedly bad trait in Kerry, but OK in George.

You don't actually think 9/11 justified removing Saddam from power more than Iraq, N Korea or the Saudis, do you?

As to Saudi Arabia, we're in a tough spot and the amount of pressure which can be applied is limited.

Nonsense! What are you smoking? We could shock and awe Saudi Arabia and remove their current undemocratic, oppressive dictatorship in 1/4th the time it took to do the same in Iraq. It would weeks max to get to the end of "Major Combat Operations" in Saudi.

And then George could go Nation Building there as well, if he really supports it. Or would that be another flip flop.

Don't fall for the Bush campaign rhetoric.

You're so right. Bush has the election wrapped up. I wouldn't even bother going to the polls if I were you.
