What concerns me is my safety and my family's safety. Focusing all our efforts on terrorism, like $200 Billion worth, while ignoring far more dangerous and common forms of injury and death is just bad public policy and not one I support. Approximately 1,000 Americans die per year from terrorim, but 100,000s die from other preventable causes. Why are those causes just ignored? Not sexy enough for poltics?

Yes, we need to fight a sensible war on terrorism. One that includes long term solutions like ending foreign oil dependence and engagement in the Middle East and forcing Israel to come to term with the Palestinians. I understand that there is the potential that a catostrophic attack could occur as a result of terrorism, like a nuclear attack. But, understanding that, why is it that we still haven't secured our ports and started screening all the cargo entering our country?!? We're pissing $200 Billion away on the military while our ports and airports remain insecure. That is not a sensible way to fight the war on terrorism.
