Didnt say a word about democracy, did it? If it took the brits 40 years to achieve nothing, i hope we can improve upon that by either leaving something better or getting out without 40 years of taking casualties. I thought democracy was the objective? Isn't that was Bush keeps saying? If democracy isn't the objective, then what do you propose? find another Shah or Pinoche or another "Butcher of Bagdad", but this time one who is friendly to the US? Is there no moral responsibility to stay the course or is it just a political issue?
