So I guess that explains why there was no second UN rsolution. That and the fact that it was not possible to get one passed.

You guys talk about lying. Where are the nuclear weapons? Where are all of the biological and chemical weapons?

On this one you are right. I didn't hear the president's speeches. I think many were under the (mis)conception that Bush would do what his father did, get a UN concensus. He didn't. It may be that it wasn't possible to do that. It appears that he didn't even want to try.

It also feels like a double standard that we enforce only the resolutions we want to. There are many examples of UN violations and we are not going to war over them.

I wonder if we would have gone to Iraq if Saddam hadn't tried to kill Bush sr.
