Another good one, unclewest.

Great wisdom comes from those who survive the experience.

The father slowly smiled and said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."

My guess would have been you earned your Commission the democratic way - you earned it. I wouldn't have thought your father wrote to your CO to thank him for putting his son on the fast track for a commission - the Republican Party way - Good ole boy CO's don't just retire, they get big fat consulting contracts.

I know Republicans - and you are no Republican <gggg>.

But don't get me wrong. I didn't just like Ike. I loved Ike.

Unk, I have a problem, must not be thinking right.

Kerry spent 20 years in the Senate and his shining moment was when he wrongly called our people baby rapers before he was elected. Then 20 years of really nothing, missed 76% of the votes and hasn't had a security briefing in 3 years although he has time for wind surfing. According to the Peter Principle he's risen to the top of his incompetence. Why would close to 50% of Americans want to promote him?

Yeah, the more enlightened borrow-and-spend Republican method would be to deduct the 1.0 off her granchild's GPA!
