I don't know about all the liberals,
but I don't look at only one issue when I trust my vote to someone.

Bush is bad on so many issues: The environment, the economy, the separation of religion and state, science, and education. Iraq is just a very visible issue that stinks like a cow patty in the living room.

It's clear that Bush and his neocon handlers have to go. The only question left is whether Kerry is an adequate President and the answer is that he is more than adequate, he will be a good leader.

TP, yes I realize that, but the problem is what to do now. According to you and just about every other liberal on this thread, Iraq is a no-win situation. Why should Kerry continue to pretend otherwise and still receive support from these very liberals?

Its sounds like you've given this a lot of thought so why do you think its true that Kerry is "pretending" and that liberals are 'ignoring' that fact?

1. Iraq isn't the only issue we're voting on.

2. Though I don't give his attempts at multilateralism a great chance of working, I think they've got a better shot than Bush's lack of a strategy.

Well I don't know if I qualify as a liberal (I prefer the term anti-Bush), but my view is not that Iraq is currently a no-win situation. It is a situation that should have been handled MUCH better than it has been for the past 6-9 months, and I assign the responsibility for that poor handling where it belongs - to the Bush administration.
