Thanks for posting the informative article by Pipes. I learned something. I would note, however, that although Pipes characterizes Islamism as a threat to the west, he also points out that moderate Islamists plan to use non-violent means to achieve their ends; e.g. all Islamists do not necessarily support Islamic Jihad nor their terrorist activities. He made no attempt to quantify that moderate group nor those who believe in violence to achieve their ends. Those Islamists in the U.S. who through their actions support or finance terrorism should IMO be identified and extradited wherever possible. Unfortunately, the cries of civil liberties violations make that a most difficult undertaking.
