re: What makes you think Rove was behind the flipper mantra? I think Bush didn't know what else to say. Because it's Talking Point #1. Every Republican operative that touches the press repeats the same mantra, almost verbatum. Rove is exceptional at getting everyone on the same point, and endlessly repeating it (even DR is playing the game). Right now there are only 2 talking points they want to get across, #1 waffler and #2 Global Veto. No matter what the question, they slip #1 or #2 into the answer. If only the Democrats has such discipline. And it works... people believe what they hear most often. John
