The UN is corrupt:
Who is on the human right commission?
Libya is the chair. Cuba is on it.
The Oil for food scandal.
The Iraqi people never received the food or medicine.
Credible evidence suggests that this was a major Al Qaeda funding source.
Benon Sevan the head of the program appears to have taken bribes.
When Iranian intelligence was expelled for photographing sensitive NY infrastructure the UN condemned the expulsion from the US.
The UN is keeping secret its review of the Oil for Food scandal.
The US is being asked to pay the largest portion of the costs of the UN
Kofi did nothing to enforce how many resolutions against Iraq?
Kofi Annon called the liberation of Iraq illegal.
Kofi Annon did nothing to stop Saddam from killing and torturing his own people.
Darfur.
Bosnia Herzegovina
Does Burma or China have the same moral authority of say France or Australia? In the UN they do.

From March 2004:
According to polling by the Gallup Organization, 60 percent of Americans rate the U.N. as doing a "poor job in trying to solve the problems it has had to face."

This post was done wiothout even breaking a sweat.

We can't afford for it to go absolete. The world is changing very fast. Today, I posted an article re. China. They are predicting that within a couple of decades China may outstrip the US as an economic power. The world is getting way too small. We need a world forum.

Don't you think the UN should declare that China's government and all the rulers other countries that are not selected by their populations are illegitimate over the long term, and each country with non-elected governments has the requirement to lay down a 5- 10- 15- year path to democracry, or face the UN's wrath?

If the UN is a "world forum", but country A has a dictatorship, who gets to represent country A's population in the world forum?

Problem with the UN is that it gives an air of legitimacy to too many governemnts that do not represent the will of their people.

Who's "they"? Seems like a rather silly prediction to me. Some time in the 21st century is quite possible but within a couple of decades is very unlikely.
