Toshiba says there is difference between NAND and NOR. We knew that, but the AMD articles don't explicitly state that.

AMD, based in Sunnyvale, California, citing softness in sales of its memory chips used in cell phones and other devices, said on Monday its quarterly revenue will be lower than forecast, prompting a sell-off of its shares.

I guess NAND is replacing NOR within handsets to certain degree;
SAMSUNG is the largest Flash producer (NAND);
Samsung is also a big player in handsets;
I recall six to nine months ago some analysts got very excited when they found NAND chip in Samsung hand set.
so the softness in NOR does not necessarily imply weakness in handsets;
of course other drivers for NAND are doing very well
