I think it is fair to take extra precaution with muslims given the threat. For example, at airport checkpoints, and at immigration offices.

But I think a good part of our nation has adopted a "let's kill us some muslims" viewpoint. To me, the "we either fight them there, or we fight them here" argument is verification of that. A significant proportion of the US public feels that, so long as we are killing muslims somewhere in the world on a daily basis, we are winning the "war on terrorism."

To them killing muslims anywhere in the world is the equivalent of "fighting them there."
