OK Mish-Never let it be said that my 'alligator opinion could not overload my humminbird arse'. That is why I try to keep them to myself most of the time, but occasionally one just can't help himself, can he? Especially if he is a conservative like me and grew up in the oil fields of Texas and has fought that game all his life from the 'little man's
perspective',but enough of the introduction.
ON TOPIC with this little caveat:I am no economist, intellectual, or investment advisor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Just a man who has lurked on this and other threads longer than you know in an effort to learn as much as possible in this GLOBAL ECONOMY we are all subject to. Having a reprieve here and having been asked for a reply I'll make a stab at what you seem to be questioning.
ADEQUATE-equal to or sufficient for a special purpose.
VITAL-concerned with; necessary.
NORMAL-conforming to a norm, standard, regular (ie,a normal temperature;the usual or average state.
"These inventories are VITAL in 'helping' to curb price spikes caused by UNANTICIPATED severe weather and resulting surges in demand". Adequate means that supplies are adequate for a 'normal' winter, with 'normal' winter price escalation subject to 'normal' demand. Has nothing to do with anything that is abnormal. ADEQUATE PART 2 next post.
