You are laboring under a delusion that Bush was not fairly elected in 2000. Got news for you. The left-wing media conducted its own re-count of the Florida ballots -- all of them -- after the election, and concluded that Bush would have won even if Sore had gotten his recount.

Humbling after putting the whole dam country through that, isn't it?

Moreoever, really crankish to deny it even after proven wrong, again and again.

cirrus, answer is that Pres Bush was Gov of TX. Governors are furnished with the experience needed to be Chief Exec much better than a career politician like John Kerry. Senators do not have the diversified managerial training which state governors undergo on the job. In addition, any private sector experience better qualifies a candidate to hold public office. Life-time career politicians like John Kerry have lived in a protected bubble, and as a result never had to deal with the realities requisite to being Pres of USA.
