Gasoline at $4 per gallon will have only a very minor impact on driving but will have an impact on other spending. I remember saying "when cigaretts hit a quarter a pack I'm quitting.."

$4/gallon equates to about $1/liter. In Australia, I currently pay A$1.20/liter. America is fortunate to have the pricepoint it has for Gas. Re smokes : I pay A$9/pack.

It cost me 2.06 to fill up my moped last trip. Most I have ever paid. I felt bad about it until I looked at the reciept and saw the attached one for a Mercedes ahead of me. $60
