How so? I thought he looked pretty much as good as he did last time, and Bush just looked much better than he did last time.

"I'm shocked. Bush smoked 'em. Kerry looked bad."

Are we talking about the same debate ? probaby not. While Bush certainly better than the first debate, Kerry got under his skin several times in the first half of the debate. Bush cut off the moderator more than once and seemed insecure to the point of being over-aggressive, almost hostile. Again he had limited content to offer (though better than the first debate). Clearly Iraq is a nightmare for him. Bush blew the Supreme Judge question. Answered OK on abortion. Again he just doesn't have enough substance and when he runs out of it, he resorts to repeating the same thing more aggressively or counter-attacking.

i thought Kerry made mistake with using "I have a plan ..." statement too often. Scored a home run with the Iraq situation - especially when he refuted that the sanctions were not to remove saddam (like bush claimed), but to prevent WMD and that yesterdays report proved they worked. Was very positively energised with stem cell question. Used good humor with the tax question. However, Kerry does talk like he is giving a speech, where he needs to connect one on one. However, he did a much better job addressing the questionaire (using their names) than Bush did.

I heard the debate in on the radio, so I did not see the body language or the facial expression of either of them. Any comments on how each of them looked on TV ?

I would rate Kerry ahead of bush on this debate, but not as much as the first debate.

Any polls out there ?

Bum.

Someone was smoking.......probably weed cut with speed. I am unclear with what you are impressed. Certainly, Bush performed better this time compared to the last debate but something is wrong with him. When he jumped up and cut off both the moderator and Kerry........he was a little too wired.

And in case you disagree, even the editor from the National Review gave Kerry a B+ to Bush's A-.

Overall I think it was a tie, or close to it. Neither candidate made a horrible mistake.
