UW, in accepting the global nature of your post, it is apparent that we are not everywhere we need to be in our war on terror. Are you sure GW does not need more troops? After all, terrorist have and will likely continue to set up shop everywhere. Maybe there is merit to Kerry’s global view, and other interested parties will join the fight (but not necessarily Americans).

Kerry will absolutely positively need a draft. Who will send their kid to fight Kerry's war? Who will send their kid to fight under the Kerry UN flag? Where will Kerry find another 40,000 soldiers? How will a Commander-in Chief who is not trusted and is hated by 80% of the troops keep them in the service?

Kerry plan is to get Bruce Springsteen and the Dixie chicks & the others to do an enlistment concert series.
