Selectric II, What exactly was "toothless" about the UN resolutions? The purpose of the resolutions were to ensure that Saddam's weapons programs were eliminated. And we now know that Iraq's weapons programs had been shut down following Gulf War I, and that Saddam had not restarted these programs since then.

As a result, the administration has once again had to flip-flop on an issue - this time on their WMD claim. Before the war the line was "Saddam has a huge number of WMDs and we know where they are" to after the war where we heard President Bush talking "WMD related program activities".

The UN has made Bush, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle, Cheney, Rice and Powell look like buffoons. I can see why you hate them so much.
