And, what's wrong with oil? Repubs have the oilmen. At least Bush/Cheney have a connection with the earthy things.

The Dems have the catsup lady and the attorneys who want to control our lives ----Edwards/Kerry attorneys-------the only thing lower than politicians in many people's minds are those lawyers.

Your argument would make sense ONLY if we had annexed Iraq as our own and nationalized its oil for ourselves. We didn't.

Without sanctions, Saddam could have sold his oil on the world market, and we probably would have bought some. In any event, since it's a commodity, his oil would have affected world markets no matter who he sold it to.

Iraq is a sovereign nation.

Contrary to your misbelief, Bush and Cheney are not building a secret pipeline from Iraq to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
