I was not aware - not that I was trying to find the information out - that the suicide bombers in Iraq are Sunnis. Are they also Wahabbis? Or ordinary Sunnis? Do we even know who they are?

I don't know how specific the info is, but the general opinion among both Iraqs and Americans is that the suicide bombers are Wahabbis associated with AQ. These are big operations, they have the operational hallmarks of AQ on them.

The fact that they are Sunnis rules out Iranian involvement

No it doesn't, not by itself. Iran is quite capable of cooperating (via Hizbullah) with Al Qaeda; ideological differences can be put aside in the face of the common enemy. Debka, who echoes Israeli security officials, thinks that the Taba bombing was an AQ/Hizbullah joint production.
