Hi Kb - I think you may want to consider the term Leftist instead of Liberal, which has become too broad and has confusing historical meanings. Laurence Tribe has interepeted the Second Ammendment as confirming a personal, not "militia" right to firearms. Not sure how well Bill Clinton & DLC democrates fit in as "liberals" DLC has tried to drag Democratic party back to the center.

Support anti democratic philosophy ? What I read in your post are examples of extremes... My thinking is that the men you mention are COMPASSIONATE conservatives. They wanted and worked for balanced budgets, a peace process between the Palestinians and Israel.. What I find deplorable with the current administration is the lack of compassion. Read his record on environmental issues. There is an environmental thread on S.I. Go read the posts there. This is an over simplification of all that you post and one would have to dissect each peace but the last example that you gave about the well. I have one. I am completely independent of utility companies and if someone else needed water I would be glad to help. However, I would resent the government telling me that I had to....
