So, by "platform announcement" I meant that it probably has to do with dual CPU schedule or 8-way servers, or some such thing.

It started today. Didn't see anything announced.

From the agenda of the conference, AMD's main presentation was today at 19:45 - 20:25 (Dublin time). Microsoft's is tomorrow at 11:45-12:30.

OK, I didn't notice that this: theinquirer.net -- was from the Dublin conference.

So the big announcement was a vague "8-way is coming" and use by Microsoft Treasury. Big deal.
