Hi X,

Thank you so much for the beautiful card.. Mary will be jealous because she just loves heather.. She is always talking about raising heather when we retire on our place.

It sure sounds like you are having a wonderful time...

BTW, I haven't been into books much lately so I haven't posted here. Too much to do outside.. Beautiful fall weather with the aspens starting to turn on the slopes of Mt. Rose.

Take care and thanks again.

LOL X,

I just told Mary what I wrote about her raising heather.. I screwed up, as usual, she talks about raising lavender.. I always get them mixed up because they are both so beautiful..

She says there is quite a market for lavender, dried flowers, wreaths, soaps, oils, lotions, etc.. She wants to be another MaryJane Butters type in the northwest :) . The rural Martha Stewart.. BTW, there is a nice article in the October 11,04 of "The New Yorker" about MaryJane... Sounds like work to me.

So I want to raise Appalousas, (btw, named after the Palouse)..

Raising Lavender
Raising Appalousas
Raising Arizona

So many raisins and so little time and too much space.
