Redstate - DeMint Holds onto Lead in SC Senate Race By: CraigLinton · Section: Miscellania According to a new poll by Rasmussen Reports, Red-State-endorsed Jim DeMint has retained his lead against his Democratic opponent, Inez Tenenbaum. Rasmussen Reports: The latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows DeMint holding a 6-point lead, 49% to 43%, over Democrat Inez Tenenbaum. The survey of 500 Likely Voters was conducted Monday, October 6, 2004. Margin of sampling error is +/- 4.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. When compared to other polls, this poll shows DeMint's lead nearly cut in half. Perhaps DeMint can build upon his lead with a strong showing in tonight's debate.

Personally, I find it disgusting that a political candidate would try and capitalize on the personal tragedy of another person. I never saw anywhere that Reeve supported Kerry. Then to actually LIE about it is really awful. God will have a special place in HELL for Kerry someday. jdn

Because this seemed such an egregiously offensive and opportunistic thing for Kerry to lie about, I checked backwards on that site. If you go to the "report" which the blogger says was his source for the "Thursday" coma date, there is no mention of an exact day- it just says Reeve fell into a coma. Out of curiosity, I checked two other stories and one said Reeve fell into a coma on Sat, another on Sunday. I could find nothing that mentioned Thursday. So I would be leery of condemning Kerry for this one accusation.
