these bishops and like-minded Catholic groups are blanketing churches with guides identifying abortion, gay marriage and the stem cell debate as among a handful of "non-negotiable issues."

Wow. That is action.

Now that I think about it, every Catholic I know, who has given an indication, is voting for GW.

Kerry is running out of constituencies to pander to...except of course Barnie Franks' and Ted Kennedy's followers. I, for one, am very willing to let Kerry have those two groups.

Group of Bishops Using Influence to Oppose Kerry

The Bishops have to do what they have to do. Kerry has to do what he has to do.

He does not believe in abortion on a personal level, but he can not force that on the rest of the country. When he is President, he has to be President to all the people in the country. He will not be dictated to by religious zealots. There are many people in our country who do not have a religious affliation. There are many in our country that do not follow the dictates of religion on a rigid basis. There are many in our country who are not Christians. All those positions are legal. Those people have to be protected from religious zealots.

That position is too complicated for the President.

Who knows what President Bush believes in wrt abortion on a personal level. We know that his mother, wife, and children are not pro life die hards. Yet the President claims he is steadfast and is solidly behind religious zealots.

You figure.
