"Outing" other people's sexual preferences is nasty. No matter what they happen to be.

Nasty and cheap.

My friend saw it as a sensitive, inclusive comment

Who is your friend voting for?

My favorite line of the evening:

BUSH: In all due respect, I’m not so sure it’s credible to
quote leading news organizations about — oh, nevermind

No explanations were necessary. Homosexuality is a divisive
political issue. Cheney's daughter is not a public figure.
She does not have a history of publicly discussing her sexual
preferences.

For Kerry to bring up the sexuality of his opponent’s
daughter in front of 60 million Americans, after John Edwards
did likewise in the last debate, made it clear that this was
a calculated stunt to score political points. That Kerry
couched his public outing of his opponent’s daughter in a
sensitive reply was designed to give plausible deniability to
their low brow attempt to score political points.

Anyone who thinks this wasn’t pre-planned is fooling
themselves. Hello! It happened in two consecutive debates!

And isn’t it just a bit too presumptuous of Kerry/Edwards to
do an encore presentation of a public outing?

BTW, who was the divider this time?

From the top of the list, the moderator said, "Tonight, the topic will be domestic affairs..." I usually take that to mean stuff about employment, education, environment, and even -- taxes. <shudder!>

Never did I realize that the sexuality of the daughter of the Vice-President was any more important than the sexuality of my cousin's next-door neighbor in the "Big Picture" scope of national agenda.

Yet, I very much thank the DNC for broaching this subject, just so everyone can be certain of the quality of representation that they bring to the table. They're an outstanding group of folks for whom I'm sure all people should consider supporting. Their heart-warming care and insight into this matter will ensure that I give their positions the most welcome "Fuck You" that is most respectully due. That is "domestic affairs" for the evening, folks! <g>
