Ted,

Your view is very negative.....another alternative to a raise in pay:

The people who are making $5.15 when raised to $7 can cut back on the hours they put in a second job.

I explained they work on commission. Say the commission is $1 per completed task. Some can complete 15, others 10, some can only complete 5 tasks per hour.

How do you pay $7 to someone who created economic value of only $5 and stay in business?

Joe

Yes, Joe, people who make minimum wage usually work two or more jobs.

No, Ted, they're usually teenagers working part-time who haven't been on the job long enough to get a two-bit raise yet.
