Again, you are combatting some straw man of your imagination. Part of my point is that if the weaker party has the greater will to prevail, it very well might. I do not know what you imagine I mean by will, in any event, or why it is a revelation to you that I realize it can change. Of course it can. Both parties in a war begin by thinking they could prevail, otherwise one side would capitulate or appease from the beginning. It is only in the course of war that the will of one or the other is broken.
