>That you are supporting Kerry & Edwards' remarks makes you the same kind of hypocrite these jerks are.

Call me whatever you wish.

>This would be analogous to Kerry saying, "I saw old Z out drunk and getting high at the bar last week". Now, Z may have been out drunk at the bar, and he may not have been hiding it, but that doesn't mean he wants to hear it on national TV. You would feel violated. I suspect she does, too.

That's because reasonable people can say that I was being irresponsible by doing such...

Being gay is NOT a bad thing. Not at all.

The situation is much more analagous to if Bush were to mention, if Kerry were talking about closing the borders, that Kerry's wife is an immigrant.

I think that you are right. The gay issue could have been discussed without bringing in Cheney's daughter's name. It was in fact brought up during the VP debates as we all know.

However, in defense of what happened, I think that it would have been best for Dick and Lynn to have just ignored it. It was not done in bad taste, but it was well intended. By raising the issue to National headlines and declaring the act vulgar they are insulting their own daughter imho.

If I were their daughter I would have let sleeping dogs lie....Stop all ready Mom and Dad. The whole country knows I am a Lesbian. Don't make it an issue.
