Brumer, Clinton inherited the Iraq problem from Bush I.
He kept the sanctions in place, and we now know absolutely
that they worked. There were no WMDs found. There were no plans for WMD. The inspections worked. That is a fact.

Bush started a war - something the US does not do. He had no right to do this. Thousands are dead due to his actions.

He should go.

No, Clinton failed to deal with Saddam. And AQ too. Two big failures.

What you blame Bush for, I give him credit for. It was the right thing to do.

Saddam was in a box.

He could have remained there until he was dealt with at leisure, or died.

It is not right to lie to the country. It is not right to take us in to war for spurious reasons. Saddam was no threat- no WMD, no link to AQ- MISTAKE to devote resources there when our real enemy remains at large. You may think it was the right thing to do. You may think attacking a country that posed no risk to us is something to give credit for- I can't say I find any logic in your statement- and I have no idea what argument you could give for it, save for the quite pathetic one you seem to think is convincing :"everyone made the same mistake about intelligence- therefore the guy who wanted to go to war and TOOK us to war, using this mistaken evidence, deserves credit." Gosh, that would be funny if lives weren't being lost. Bravo. Sillier than I would have expected.
