No they didn't. Bush said that he doubted he said that, and I am sure that he didn't remember saying it, nor meant what was implied. Cheney doubless could not recall meeting Edwards in the setting of business on the Hill, and forgot the other instances. I have misspoken about such matters, haven't you?
