Quite simple, marriage is between a man and woman.

Depending upon how an amendment is worded would decide my vote. Remember that we have a ratification process for amendments to the Constitution to prevent it being amended without the consent of the people.

The ERA failed even after Ted Kennedy went back to Congress and opposed the need for 2/3rd's majority of the states to ratify calling for a simple majority.

ERA failed in the ratification process. It failed because of its blank check given to the federal govmt.

The issue was not regarding women and equal rights-----the issue was states rights and the invasion of the federal government into the right of states to make decisions. People did not want the federal govmt,. taking over anymore than they want the federal government providing universal, socialistic health care.

Roe vs. Wade was the abortion case that bypassed the Constitution. And, of course we have been haggling over abortion and when it is or when it is not appropriate since then.

It remains that I and most Americans knew nothing of her sexual preferences until Edwards and Kerry made it an issue in the debates. I don't care what her or anyone's sexual preferences are------what you do in your bedroom is your business as long it does not involve a minor.
