Because Bush and his administration have shown themselves to be incomparably competent at these matters. The Bush adminstration has demonstrated great competence at determining which people in Afghanistan were terrorists, and which were not. Why do you believe this??

They kept both 70 year olds and 13 year olds locked up for two years who were innocent. And they let this guy, an al Qa'ida member, go: "Mehsud, 28, came back to Pakistan in March after about two years' detention at the U.S. Navy base at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. He had been captured by U.S.-allied Afghan forces in Kunduz, northern Afghanistan, in December 2001, while fighting for the Taliban, Pakistani officials said. How can you still hold this view in light of the above? Either you are dishonest, or intellectually lazy. Which is it?
