"Prisoners at the Cuban base include those captured in Afghanistan and Iraq and suspected of association with or membership in extremist organizations. "

Fine. Seems to me detaining these people is a good idea.

What in the world does it mean to "association with ... extremist organizations"?

And if the prisoners include that group (associates with or membership in), what about the others that are not included in that broad category?

It's not like Al Qaeda is a card carrying club. How do you have any confidence that a 22 year old special forces guy from Minnesota went to Afghanistan and picked the terrorist instead of the Afghan farmer worried about this attacking militia hurting his family?

It's nice to just assume the special forces only got the terrorists, but since they can't prove it (or there would have been trials and convictions), its wrong to detain people (who are all created equal) indefinitely without charging them or giving them some voice to defend themselves. It's totally totally anti-American.
