I hope the Republican party is ready to counter attack these democrats...they are pulling out all stops when it comes to dirty tricks...

Yes they are. But, they're contending all the dirty tricks are on the Republican side. The democratic mindset is very interesting.

My wife and I were having lunch downtown yesterday with a friend who happens to be a democrat. We've agreed on a truce and just don't talk politics, a solution that seems to work quite well at preserving the friendship. As we were eating, a couple came along who we all knew. They had just been to Kerry headquarters down the street and had Kerry stickers on their lapels.

The conversation, which was mostly between the friend we were lunching with and the woman (H and I discussed setting up an appointment for a meeting we need to organize) consisted of the woman:

Going on at length about Kerry/Edwards yard signs being stolen (no mention of similar happenings to Bush/Cheney signs);

Claims of democratic voter registration forms being destroyed in Oregon (odd, I haven't heard about that;

And how, without question, Kerry will win the election in two weeks (I think this woman should lay in a good supply of antidepressants before the election).

I kept my mouth shut. It does no good to try to discuss politics with these people. They live in a parallel (maybe even perpendicular?) universe.

Too bad SI deactivated the ignore feature when they did. There are some pretty scurrilous things making the rounds on all these message boards.
