More significant, calling someone a lesbian in this era is hardly an insult in Mr. Kerry's mind, his advisers said How stupid can these people be? No, it's not an insult, unless the person being classified is offended, which is always possible. The important issue which both Kerry and Edwards completely missed is the crass way in which family members are brought into the fray. They are off-limits unless they are political personalities in their own right. While Mary Cheney is a political operative, I doubt that 99.9999% of the electorate knew so before Kerry pointed a finger at her. I had no idea she existed. Dumb and dumber, makes me think that Kerry's campaign is being managed by Grouch and Chico.
