What the EC is really unfair to the big states. Keep in mind in a state with one voter they get three electoral votes--2 for the senators + one for their one rep. A state with one voter is overrepresented in the House to begin with but when you add the 2 senators it becomes wildy overrepresented. The least that could be done is to knock off the 100 electors (2 per state) to give it some representative merit. They also should add one vote somehow so there couldnt be a tie which would throw it into the House. Hell that last vote could just be a blind vote for he who won the pop vote nationally. But all of these reforms require same amendment process, so why not just scrap it. mike
