I see you and "Mary" are really hot on forcing Bush to say he's made mistakes. Must be the new Kerry talking points. Hey, lighten up. I added a "g," for heaven's sake. Take a close look or clip and paste it into Google yourself and you'll see how I got only thirteen useless results.

For years the extreme left has been really into "admitting mistakes" and "apologizing" as though the failure to do so is tantamount to a serial murderer's killing spree. If the murderer would just say he was sorry for what he'd done, then maybe he shouldn't be fried, zapped, euthanized, shot or hung. The "apology" makes all the difference. So much psychobabble. The questions posed to Bush were designed to show that he's stubborn---not resolute. The questioners want the US to be wrong, to have to apologize, to be sufficiently chastened before the world court of public opinion such that we'll be effectively impotent. Hard to understand why that's so important to the left. Is is guilt? I suspect that it's partially due to the "head in sand" syndrome. If we (the US) can just bury our collective heads and leave the muslim world alone (after all, we're provoking all this terrorism and have done for years), then we can continue with life as usual, driving our Escalades, airconditioning our homes, and not worrying about Johnny being called up in a reinstated draft. The other possibility is a national Stockholm Syndrome. If we're just nice to the terrorists, they won't want to kill us. We understand and feel their pain, and were probably the cause of it in the first place. I think the left needs psychotherapy.<g>
