<we were not invaders in Vietnam> Perhaps half a million Americans assigned to the job of killing millions of Vietnamese (civilians in larger numbers than combatants), in a country that posed no threat to us and that did not attack us, all because we did not like the political ideology of the people in the northern part of Vietnam -- perhaps to you this might seem like an invasion. I will leave it to you to decide. But whatever you call it, there is now a country called Vietnam in which the people of Vietnam now go about their daily lives and where they will determine their own future -- they will not turn to us and ask us to send in our troops to impose our vision of how Vietnam should be run.
