That's a cop-out by Jennings. If news people can't be objective, they ought to find another line of work. Many media people over the past decade or so have boasted that they went into the profession to "change things." That is the wrong attitude. Ideally, they're supposed to provide raw information to us so WE can decide whether and how to change things.
