People's daily has an English forum, maybe you can post your comment there. And maybe you should do some lobby in Canada about the Chinese purchase of Noranda since they all say people have power in the democratic countries. Although I would not differ you on PBOC has a worse management than the US banks. Nonetheless, that is what China has, and seems still works in Chinese system. Hopefully, PBOC will evolute better slowly and graduately.

It's hard to remember but in normal times, i.e. pre China boom times, Canada's resources could not easily find a market. Now if the Noranda sale happens a whole new industry is born. Prospect for natural resources, whatever you find has the chance of appealing to Chinese investors. Sell what you find to them and go back and hunt for more etc. The sale has another benefit, a big increase in mutual understanding. Chinese employees will find out about life in Canada and Canadian employees will get to know Chinese people. Canadian resource stocks are rising in this situation. If the deal is not allowed they will probably reverse. P.S. Lots of Chinese come to Canada permanently. But on their occasional trips back homw they don't write to the People's Daily and say how comfortable they feel in a relatively free society. Those who work in Noranda and return can spread the word, in some way or other.
