Neo, you're missing an important point here: GOVERNMENT MONEY COMES WITH GOVERNMENT CONTROLS. ALWAYS. eventually. And the more dependent your chuch/synagogue/mosque is on that gov't money, the more they have you under their thumb.

Now don't ignore this one: WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CURRENT SITUATION WHEREIN CHURCH MEMBERS PAY FOR CHURCH ACTIVITIES? Or, if a religious charity wishes to do charitable work, it advertises itself as a religious charity? The gov't has no right to take the money of a person of one faith and use it to fund the work of another.

AND if you allowed "faith-based initiatives", it would not be THAT difficult to set up a religious organizatioon that is not entirely gov't-funded. If THAT is not "establishment", what is?

I know you wish to dodge. That is because you are pinned to the wall and a ****ed uncomfortable wal it is, too. It is THAT FACT that led the Founders not favor conducting gov't through churches as had been done in several of the colonies.

You keep trying to dodge the pertinent questions. As someone also predicted you would.
